A note from Wild Bob Burgos:
Snakebite told me that they wanted to record a song of mine for their new CD "Ready To Rock", but they wanted a song that had never been released before. "Birthday Girl" was a song I wrote about a year ago, but I never got around to record it. I mentioned this song to them, and they wanted to record it, so I sent them the arrangements, words, etc, and now it's out on Snakebite's new CD! It's a great compliment to me, and I appreciate it very much. I do have plans to record it myself early next year. Snakebite have always told me that they are inspired by my music and every time I meet up with them in Sweden, I always have these guys backing me up. They are a really good band, and they all have the same hunger for rock 'n' roll, the same as I do, I reckon thats why we all get on so well. [Bob Burgos, September 2003]

And that's the story about "Birthday Girl" and why Bob Burgos is mentioned again with a big thank you in the liner notes of this new Snakebite album. The fact that Snakebite is largely influenced by Wild Bob is obvious, they play rock 'n' roll with the same passion as Bob has been doing for the past 25 years or so. With some wild covers ranging from David Ray's "Lonesome Baby Blues" (yep, the one Crazy Cavan also recorded) to an excellent Teddy Boy rendition of Hank Mizell's "Jungle Rock", and lots of brand new originals like the hard knocking "Do You Wanna Dance" and "Rebel Daddy".

So, to cut things short, if you're into Teddy Boy stuff, or British type rock 'n' roll and rockbilly in general, here's another gem for you from Sweden. Rock 'n' roll with a bite and a beat!
